Mei Ling is a Registered Social Worker at the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Worker (OCSWSSW), and Registered Psychotherapist in the Province of Ontario (CRPO). She obtained a Master of Social Work from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health.

She is an experienced counsellor, for 38 years working with individuals and families who specialized in adult mental health and car accident victims. She has extensive counselling skills for people with mental illness, anxiety, depression, and trauma experience. She also provides Christian-based counselling and she is familiar with social resources in Toronto and the York Region. Her counselling approach is informed by different models, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Trauma-based Therapy, EMDR, Faith-based Therapy, and the Recovery Model.
