If an assessment is necessary for your assigned therapist to understand your mental health situation, you may consider booking an assessment with our Psychologist at our second division, Sparkling Seeds Centre, such as:.

Everyone’s case is unique. Therefore assessment sessions will vary in cost. This is due to several factors such as the severity of your diagnosis, the type of assessment you receive, and current symptoms being shown in your case.

Practice
Assessment services in private practices are not covered by OHIP. However, many extended health insurance plans cover them wholly or partially.
Please check with your extended health insurance provider to determine whether you have coverage for assessment services and whether a referral letter is needed. Alternatively, you can also contact us for details.
Psychotherapy/counselling services can also be claimed as a medical expense for tax deduction. Fees are paid before each session. An invoice will be issued to you which can be used for reimbursement from your insurance company and income tax purposes.
In all cases, the identities of clients and their self-disclosures are handled in a strictly confidential manner. However, a few exceptions exist to client confidentiality due to legal or ethical obligations. The Psychologist will discuss these exceptions with you more if applicable to your situation.
