Our Founder
Hopewoods Psychotherapy & Consulting Services was initiated in 2011 by our founder, Mandy Li Wen Fang, M.S.W, R.S.W., R.P. Ms. Fang has earned her credentials as a registered social worker, and a registered psychotherapist in the Province of Ontario (CRPO).

Mandy has over 15 years of experience serving vulnerable populations in the greater Toronto area. During those years she noticed that the Asian and diverse ethnic populations in particular were the most vulnerable to harm done by mental health conditions going unaddressed, not only in individuals but also in families and couples.
Driven by both a desire to assist these vulnerable communities as well as support people who struggle in their marriage and relationships emotionally, Mandy established Hopewoods shortly after graduation from the University of Toronto.
Since then, our private psychotherapy practice continues to grow and expand on both the experienced team Mandy is proud to work with as well as the varied resources both privately offered and free to the public.
Mandy's Stance on Seeking Help
It takes courage and self-awareness to change our old coping mechanisms when life’s stressors become overwhelming. Mandy wants to assure you that by checking out what supports are available to you, you are taking your first step towards creating meaningful change.
Her approach is grounded in empathy and a warm professional atmosphere and focusing on the various theoretical and clinical modalities allows her to practice in a way that uniquely fits with each individual and family she works with. Mandy’s counselling approach is informed by different models, such as emotionally focused therapy, Internal family systems, cognitive behavioural therapy, EMDR, ACT, and attachment theory.
Seeking and engaging in counselling and therapy is hard work, but soon you will find that it is all a worthy effort.
