Fees & Practice for Assessments

An assessment prior to your psychotherapy sessions is necessary for your assigned therapist of choice to best understand your mental health situation. Adult ADHD assessments as well as those listed on our website can be provided.

Everyone’s case is unique, and we are firm believers in ensuring that communities in the Greater Toronto Area receive the proper care and attention to their mental healthcare they need. Because of this belief, assessment sessions will vary in cost as much as our fee schedule for regular psychotherapy sessions. This is due to several factors such as the severity of your diagnosis, the type of assessment you receive, and current symptoms being shown in your case.

Please note that these costs may be less or more than the estimates provided.

Please call our assessment coordinator for details on the exact prices of assessments.

Practice

As a private practice, our assessment services are not covered by OHIP. However, they are covered wholly or partially by many extended health insurance plans.

Please check with your extended health insurance provider to determine whether you have coverage for psychotherapy/counselling services and whether a referral letter is needed. Alternatively, you can also contact us for details.

Psychotherapy/counselling services can also be claimed as a medical expense for tax deduction. An invoice will be issued to you and fees are paid at the end of each session, which can be used for reimbursement from your insurance company and income tax purposes.

The fee schedule varies between $120-$200/session depending on the nature of the service.

A typical one-hour session is 50 minutes long with 10 minutes allocated to documentation and paperwork. Please contact us to further discuss your needs. Sliding scale payments are accepted if necessary.

In all cases, the identities of clients and their self-disclosures are handled in a strictly confidential manner. However, there are a few exceptions to client confidentiality due to legal or ethical obligations. You will be informed about these exceptions at your first session.
