Joyce is a Registered Social Worker with over five years of experience working with youth and supporting their mental health journeys. She is keenly aware of the challenges that come during this time, such as feelings of stress, worry, low mood, and low motivation. Navigating and redefining peer and family relationships often occur, while also trying to figure out their own identities, beliefs, and hopes for the future. Joyce’s approach involves collaboration to foster strengths and develop trust to meet the needs of her clients.

Joyce’s experience working in community mental health agencies supporting youth and their families spans different roles. She offers a space for her clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, and ways to navigate the challenges they’re going through. With a background in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectal Behavioural Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, Joyce utilizes a combination of modalities to meet the clients where needed.

Joyce’s practice is rooted in providing compassionate care where clients can feel respected, valued, and safe. She understands the importance of staying curious and to allow her clients to share without fear of judgement or criticism. She believes in the power of her clients and their capacity to continue growing.
